The position

What you’ll do

  • Role: English Second-Language Teacher
  • Start: Late 2026
  • Schedule: Evenings & weekends, two consecutive weekdays off
  • Hours: 18–22 teaching hours per week
  • Students: Ages 3–12, classes of 4–6
  • Location: Huangpu District, Shanghai (near Lu Ban Rd Station)

Pay & benefits

What you’ll get

  • ¥21k–26k net per month (≈ US $2.9k–3.6k)
  • Overtime typically ¥1.5k–2.5k — many teachers reach ¥30k+ a month
  • Monthly housing allowance ¥3.5k
  • 2-month paid probation
  • Contract-end bonus ¥5k–15k
  • All Chinese public holidays, plus an extra week at Chinese New Year and two weeks in summer
  • Health insurance & full arrival support
  • Annual trip, team-building, and ongoing training

What you’ll need to bring

  • One-year commitment

    A minimum of one year so your students get consistency.

  • Native English speaker

    With a clean background check.

  • Bachelor’s degree

    Any field — it’s required for your work visa.

  • TEFL certificate

    Completed or in progress. And a genuine love of working with kids.

Off the clock

Team-building, hot pot, and a trip to Bali.

Two consecutive days off every week, plus an annual team trip.
